Marian W. 'Maniek' to face trial in Katowice over billion-zloty fuel fraud

An appeals court has settled a jurisdictional dispute, sending the case of Marian W., known as "Maniek", to the District Court in Katowice. He is a key figure in the Zondacrypto scandal and a suspect in the disappearance of Sylwester Suszek. The charges relate to massive fuel fraud involving fictitious invoices worth nearly 1.3 billion złoty and transfers exceeding 1.5 billion złoty.
