Polish government to propose its own tourist tax bill after Sejm debate

The Polish Sejm held a first reading of a tourist tax bill submitted by Deputy Minister of Sport and Tourism Ireneusz Raś. MPs debated whether to introduce the tax, who should be exempt and where the revenue should go. At the end of the session, the government announced it would present its own separate bill on the matter.
