Solar eclipse altered behaviour in half of studied animal species, research shows
A total solar eclipse over Spain and Portugal triggered notable behavioural changes in animals at zoos and aquariums across the Iberian Peninsula, according to a new study. At least half of the species examined were affected by the sudden daytime darkness. The findings confirm that animals are highly sensitive to abrupt changes in light levels.
