Polish education minister: teachers are not millionaires, system faces 80bn zloty gap
The head of the teachers' "Solidarity" union estimates the Polish education system is underfunded by around 80 billion zloty — the amount needed for schools to function normally. Teachers are demanding pay rises, and the education minister acknowledged they are not well-off. The Ministry of Education has committed to changes in teacher remuneration.
