Polish teachers say salary should reach 12,000–15,000 zł; current pay a dead end

Starting teacher salaries in Poland are only 500 zł above the national minimum wage, making the profession a dead end according to primary school teachers interviewed by Interia. They say pay would need to reach 12,000–15,000 zł per month to live decently without working overtime. Many teachers currently take on extra jobs to make ends meet.
