Tasmanian tiger hunted like a reptile, not a mammal, study finds

A new anatomical study of the extinct thylacine, or Tasmanian tiger, concludes the animal hunted prey more like a reptile than a mammal. The finding dramatically overturns previous assumptions about how the species behaved. The thylacine went extinct in the 20th century and was the largest carnivorous marsupial of its era.
