1.4-million-year-old footprints reveal surprisingly large Paranthropus boisei

Ancient footprints found in Kenya suggest that eight Paranthropus boisei individuals may have travelled together 1.4 million years ago, with some reaching surprisingly large, human-like body sizes. The tracks offer a rare glimpse into the social behaviour of this extinct human relative and suggest they may have lived in more complex groups than previously thought.
