New school year brings curriculum reform, smartphone ban and changes to sex ed

Starting in the 2026/2027 school year, Poland is introducing a new core curriculum for kindergartens and grades I and IV of primary schools. Smartphones will be banned in primary schools. Compulsory health education will be introduced without a sexual health component, which will be offered only as an opt-in module.
