1 in 6 VPN apps track your location, Proton report finds

A new report from Proton reveals that one in six VPN apps tracks users' locations rather than protecting their privacy. According to the findings, 64 VPN apps on Apple's App Store and Google Play contain trackers that collect sensitive user data — the opposite of what a VPN is supposed to do. Users are advised to carefully vet any VPN service before trusting it with their internet traffic.
