Another academic paper co-authored by Mróz-Gorgoń may have been AI-written — dozens of fake citations found
Barbara Mróz-Gorgoń, the central figure in the scandal over alleged AI use in the government report "Polaków Portret Własny," is now suspected of similar practices in at least one academic paper. Investigators found over a dozen fabricated citations in a co-authored scholarly publication — a hallmark of AI-generated text. The scandal is now spreading beyond government reports into the academic sphere.
