Poland seeks 1 billion złoty fine against Meta over harmful ads

Poland's Minister of Digitalisation Krzysztof Gawkowski announced that Warsaw has submitted a formal request to the European Commission to impose a one-billion-złoty fine on Meta. The complaint targets Meta's failure to combat harmful advertising and fraudulent content affecting Polish Facebook users. Gawkowski stated that inaction by Meta will no longer be tolerated.
