Polish employers must grant overdue leave by 30 September or face penalties

Polish employers have until 30 September to grant employees their outstanding annual leave — after that date they commit a labour offence. In the last six years, nearly 7,000 complaints about leave were filed with the National Labour Inspectorate, with 800 in 2026 alone. Employers in breach face substantial fines.
