New Thai mountain lizard species named after Syrax from House of the Dragon

Scientists discovered a new species of small, yellowish mountain horned lizard in Thailand and named it Acanthosaura syrax after the dragon Syrax from House of the Dragon. The species is found only in a narrow band of high-elevation forest, making it rare and vulnerable. Researchers hope it will become a flagship species for protecting its mountain habitat.
