AI decodes hidden "on switch" found in roughly 60% of human genes

Scientists used AI to analyse around 500,000 DNA sequences and identified the signature of a key genetic "on switch" known as the initiator, present in roughly 60% of human genes. The breakthrough could help predict the effects of harmful mutations and advance understanding of the genetic instructions that control gene activity throughout the body.
