ZUS: Sick leave cancels holiday, but inspections can reach you abroad

Poland's Social Insurance Institution (ZUS) has reminded workers that a sick-leave certificate (L4) interrupts annual leave, and unused holiday days must be granted after recovery. ZUS also warned that being abroad does not shield an employee from an inspection checking whether sick leave is being used properly.
