Recruiters cannot demand a work certificate from job candidates — it's illegal
Employers in Poland may verify a job candidate's experience, education and qualifications during recruitment, but they cannot legally demand to see a work certificate from previous employment. Requesting such a document violates Polish law and the candidate's privacy rights. Candidates have no obligation to present it and may refuse without consequences.
