Historian on Putin and the Molotov–Ribbentrop Pact: "He puts himself in line with Hitler and Stalin"

On the 84th anniversary of the Molotov–Ribbentrop Pact (signed 23 August 1939), an interview with historian Roger Moorhouse, author of "The Devils' Alliance," has been republished. Moorhouse argued the pact was "normal policy" for two utterly amoral regimes, but that Putin's present-day attempts to justify it are extraordinary. He said Putin, by rehabilitating the pact, places himself in the same line as Hitler and Stalin.
