Police break up Morskie Oko blockade by activists demanding horse-drawn transport ban

On Saturday morning, activists blocked the road to Morskie Oko in the Tatra Mountains, demanding a total ban on horse-drawn transport on the popular trail. Police intervened to disperse the protest. Activists accused local highlanders of mistreating horses; the highlanders in turn branded the protesters "eco-terrorists."
