Intermittent fasting may harm older people, Karolinska Institute study finds
Researchers at Sweden's Karolinska Institute found that extended fasting and longer gaps between meals may accelerate the development of chronic diseases in older people. The scientists note that previous studies were conducted on different age groups and therefore did not provide a full picture of the effects of this dietary approach on seniors.
