Salmonella and E. coli outbreak from alfalfa sprouts spreads to 15 US states

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported 55 confirmed cases of Salmonella and E. coli infection linked to alfalfa sprouts, spread across 15 states, as of Friday. Four people have been hospitalized. Officials are warning consumers to exercise caution with alfalfa sprout products.
