One in five Polish students reads at a 10-year-old's level, The Economist reports

According to The Economist, the share of Poles with very poor reading and writing skills has more than doubled in just a decade. One in five Polish students now performs at the level of a ten-year-old. Mathematical skills are also declining, with Poland's overall results described as alarming.
