Lost medieval convent found under football pitch in England

Advanced ground-penetrating radar has revealed an extensive medieval convent complex just 90 centimetres below the surface of a football pitch. The discovery was made using non-invasive scanning technology, leaving the site intact. The complex was previously unknown to archaeologists and has now been mapped for the first time.
