Labour inspectors can now convert B2B and civil-law contracts into employment — first results
Since 8 July, Poland's State Labour Inspectorate (PIP) has the power to reclassify civil-law contracts — including B2B and commission agreements — as standard employment contracts. Initial rulings show that what matters is how work is actually performed, not the label on the contract. The changes could affect hundreds of thousands of workers currently employed under so-called junk contracts across multiple industries.
