Labour inspectors can now reclassify B2B and freelance contracts as employment from 8 July

From 8 July, Poland's State Labour Inspectorate gained the power to reclassify civil-law contracts — including B2B agreements and commissions — as full employment contracts. Inspectors will look at how work is actually performed, not what the contract is called. Initial interpretations suggest that working under an employer's direction and at a specified location are the key criteria.
