Priest drowns in Darłówko — diocese confirms death

A strong sea current swept away two people at the beach resort of Darłówko. Rescuers mounted an emergency response but were unable to save one of the victims — a priest — who was pulled from the water. The Maritime Search and Rescue Service reported that the air ambulance doctor pronounced death at 20:04. The local diocese issued an official statement confirming the tragedy.
