Poland's CMK railway line to reach 250 km/h next year after GSM-R system tests

Tests of the GSM-R data transmission system have been carried out on Poland's Central Trunk Line (CMK), enabling train speeds above 160 km/h. Infrastructure Minister Dariusz Klimczak announced that next year the first trains will travel the route at 250 km/h. The upgrade marks a significant step in the modernisation of Poland's rail network.
