Psychologist warns: sexting among teenagers is normalised and dangerous
Psychologist Joanna Rawecka warns that the sharing of intimate images is widespread and largely normalised among teenagers. Many girls do not understand the consequences, while boys frequently pressure them into sending such material. Parents too often refuse to believe their children could be involved, making early intervention harder. Rawecka calls for open conversations with children about the issue.
