Butter at 2 zł in discounters — UOKiK sees no abuse, but prices set to rise

Poland's consumer watchdog UOKiK found no evidence of abuse of contractual advantage in discount chains selling butter for as little as 2 zł, despite complaints from the Społem cooperative, according to Rzeczpospolita. Dairy producers and cooperatives had warned that the record-low prices were unsustainable. The industry now cautions that butter prices are set to rise soon.
