Polish retailers to be required to disclose own-brand manufacturers on product labels

Poland's Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development has drafted legislation requiring supermarket chains to clearly disclose on packaging who actually manufactures their own-brand food products. The visible labelling requirement is designed to end the practice of hiding producer names on private-label goods. Retailers will be given an extended transition period to comply.
