Fighting bone cancer since age 7, Sandra found hope in Palermo

Sandra Borcuch was diagnosed with a foot tumour at age 7. Nineteen years on, the cancer has spread through nearly her entire leg and reached her spine. When Polish doctors saw no further hope, she and her mother moved to Palermo, Italy, where new treatment is underway. Sandra credits her mother with keeping her alive through it all.
