82-year-old with dangerous swelling waited 12 hours at Gdańsk emergency ward

An 82-year-old woman referred by her GP to the emergency department at a Gdańsk hospital with a painful and worsening swelling of her face and legs spent 12 hours waiting on a hard chair in the waiting room. During that time her condition was not reassessed and she had no free access to water, according to a report by Gazeta Wyborcza.
