Childhood obesity cuts chances of motherhood by up to 40%, Danish study finds
Danish researchers have found that women with elevated BMI from childhood are significantly less likely to become mothers in adulthood. In some age groups, the probability of having a child was more than 40% lower compared to women with a healthy weight. The findings suggest that childhood overweight and obesity may have long-term reproductive consequences.
