PM2.5 dust worsens rheumatoid arthritis, study of over 1,000 patients shows
A study of more than 1,000 patients found that prolonged exposure to PM2.5 fine particulate matter is linked to greater disease activity and a higher risk of flare-ups in people with rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Among air pollutants, fine dust particles were identified as the most harmful for RA sufferers. The findings highlight the importance of clean air for people with autoimmune conditions.
