Teen cannabis use linked to slower memory and thinking development

Research shows that teenagers who use cannabis experience slower development in memory, attention, language, and processing speed compared to non-users. Their cognitive abilities initially grew normally but then plateaued while non-users continued to improve. THC was identified as the most likely driver, with the strongest effect on memory.
