Russia and China launch regular cargo shipping via Arctic Northern Sea Route

Russia's state nuclear company Rosatom has issued permits for seven Chinese vessels to use the Northern Sea Route. One Chinese shipping company plans to launch regular cargo services along the route still this year, Rosatom chief Aleksei Likhachev announced. The development marks a new stage of Russian-Chinese economic cooperation in the Arctic.
