One in ten butterfly species has shifted its range, mostly due to climate change
Researchers analyzed data on 1,758 butterfly species — roughly ten percent of all known species — from 105 countries. The study found that about one in ten species has shifted its distribution range. Climate change is identified as the primary driver of these movements.
