502 complaints to labour inspectorate in under a month over sham civil contracts
In less than a month after new powers came into force, Poland's State Labour Inspectorate (PIP) received 502 complaints about sham civil-law contracts by the end of July, according to figures shared with Rzeczpospolita. The new regulations give PIP greater authority to challenge contracts for work and service agreements that in practice constitute employment relationships. The scale of complaints signals widespread use of such arrangements.
