Kids Online Safety Act advances to full US Senate vote

The Kids Online Safety Act has cleared committee and will advance to a full US Senate vote. Senator Marsha Blackburn declared that "the era of Big Tech profiting off of our children is over." Critics had warned the bill could restrict online free speech and undermine the privacy of minors.
