Slovakia sets all-time record for warmest night — temperature stayed above 27.5°C

The night from Monday to Tuesday was the warmest ever recorded in Slovakia, with temperatures in the Záhorie region near the Czech border staying above 27.5°C throughout. In the Czech Republic, the town of Bystřice pod Hostýnem recorded an even higher overnight minimum of 27.9°C. Both readings set all-time national records for nighttime heat.
