Trzaskowski: civilian victims of the Warsaw Uprising are too often forgotten

Warsaw Mayor Rafał Trzaskowski laid flowers on Saturday at the "Polegli Niepokonani" monument in the Wola district, stressing that the civilian toll of the Warsaw Uprising was immense. He noted that civilians were rarely commemorated — no monuments were erected for them and they were seldom taught about in schools. He called for their memory to be given its rightful place in history.
