Warsaw marks Warsaw Uprising anniversary with sirens, flares and crowds
At 5 p.m. on Wednesday, sirens sounded across Warsaw to mark the 82nd anniversary of the Warsaw Uprising. Traffic and pedestrians came to a standstill in tribute to the fighters. Thousands gathered at Dmowski Roundabout lit red-and-white flares, while at Castle Square crowds formed a giant Fighting Poland symbol.
