82nd anniversary of Warsaw Uprising: Nawrocki and Trzaskowski pay tribute

On the eve of the 82nd anniversary of the Warsaw Uprising, President Karol Nawrocki said the insurgents were ready to give their lives for independence and that their act was not impulsive romanticism but an expression of the desire for freedom. Warsaw Mayor Rafał Trzaskowski also addressed the surviving veterans at the ceremony, telling them: "You were and still are teachers for all of us."
