New Olsztyn housing estate has no drainage — residents bail out water by hand
Eight families in a new housing estate in Olsztyn have spent a year and a half dealing with flooding of their gardens, car parks and basements after every rainfall, because the developer installed no rainwater drainage system whatsoever. Residents must wear wellies to reach their cars and either pump out or carry water away in buckets. The case has been taken up by an investigative TV programme as an example of a serious developer failure.
