CO₂-based polyester made with organic catalyst enables closed-loop recycling
Researchers developed a simple organic catalyst that enables direct copolymerization of CO₂ with bicycloalkanes to produce high-performance polyesters. The material can be selectively depolymerized and fully recycled in a closed-loop lifecycle, offering a promising route to plastics made from waste carbon dioxide.
