Nordic curl builds hamstrings better than running — slow reps are the key
The nordic curl (also called nordic hamstring curl) involves kneeling with feet anchored and slowly lowering the torso forward, placing the main load on the hamstrings, with glutes, calves and core also engaged. No equipment is needed beyond a stable foot anchor. Coaches stress that slow, controlled reps — not high rep counts — maximise muscle activation, making it one of the hardest bodyweight exercises available.
