Orca filmed teaching her calf to hunt sea turtle in Gulf of California

Filmmaker Alonso Rodríguez captured footage in the Gulf of California of a female orca repeatedly flipping, submerging and pulling a sea turtle by its flipper while her calf watched closely, before both fed on the turtle's liver. The group of nine orcas appeared near local fishermen at dusk. Scientists are now debating whether the mother was deliberately teaching her calf hunting techniques or simply playing with prey.
