Polish consumer watchdog: in-ear headphones are not a hygiene product and can be returned
Some retailers have been refusing to accept returns of in-ear headphones, classifying them as hygiene products exempt from the standard 14-day right of withdrawal on distance purchases. Poland's Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (UOKiK) has challenged this practice, clarifying that in-ear headphones do not meet the legal definition of a hygiene product. Consumers are therefore entitled to return them within 14 days of purchase.
