John Leguizamo, playing a blind character in Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey, wore special contact lenses for 12 to 14 hours a day on set, rendering him genuinely unable to see throughout that time. The Golden Globe nominee described it as one of the biggest physical challenges of his career. The Odyssey is now playing in theatres.
