Polish law gives laid-off workers the right to be rehired

Under Polish labour law, employers who carried out collective redundancies are obliged to rehire former employees if they meet specific conditions. The worker must submit a request, and the company must give them priority when recruiting for similar positions. This right is valid for one year after the contract is terminated, yet few Poles are aware of it.
