Invasive Comb Jelly Threatens Venice Lagoon and Baltic Sea

The comb jelly Mnemiopsis leidyi, native to North America and ranked among the world's most harmful invasive species, has taken hold in the Venice Lagoon, threatening the local ecosystem and fishing industry. The species has also reached the Baltic Sea, raising concerns about its impact on fish stocks there as well.
